~I Corinthians 10:31~
Dear Friends,
Greetings from Scioto Hills! You are receiving this letter because you have taken time to invest in my life. And I would be honored and excited for you to commit to pray for me as I serve as a Scioto Hills counselor! Last summer, I had the opportunity to serve as a counselor, and God blessed me with wonderful new relationships and challenging lessons to learn. This mission experience could not have been possible without support and prayer. Because I want to commit to building these relationships and continuing to show God’s love through camp service, I am committing to serve another summer at Scioto Hills!!!
Counselors, Grounds Staff, Kitchen Staff, Lifeguards and more are being hired to fulfill the vision and mission of Scioto Hills. Our goal to proclaim Christ to children in an outdoor setting will be carried out by another group of 40 other young people like me.
Please consider contributing support of this mission. All financial gifts must be received by the camp by July 16 My goal for the summer is $1,400. Please note, DO NOT write my name on your donation check; instead, please use the enclosed Donation Slip to designate a gift in my honor. Gifts can be mailed to Scioto Hills Camp, 1009 Martin Road, Wheelersburg, OH 45694. You may also donate online by going to www.sciotohills.com/donate (I love it, this makes giving so EASY!) J
By either supporting me specifically or giving a general gift designated to the Summer Staff Support Fund will enable Scioto Hills to provide a paycheck for me as well as other staff members, many which have limited resources. We have had many international students, missionary kids and pastor’s children that have come to invest in the Scioto Hills ministry. I can say from experience that being a part of the diverse staff at Scioto Hills has touched my heart and created lasting and meaningful friendships! Please consider your gift as a way to encourage us as we build into the lives of children.
I am so thankful to be a part of a ministry where kids are making eternal decisions every day! I know the Lord will also continue to work in my life as I learn how best to use the gifts God has given me to work for His kingdom. We are studying Colossians and I cannot wait to see what God has in mind for me this summer!
For His glory,
Katie Sue Marvin

He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the hearts of men; yet they cannot fathom what God has done form beginning to end
