Exile-Babylon, Lake Ann Camp

Beautiful!!!
This was just the view from the car as we were driving through Michigan. Chloe and I were riding with Jim Cato.

I think this picture could be a good description of our weekend. There were so many dark clouds looming over our heads. Whether it be high expectations, new barriers to cross musically, not much time to prepare or practice, lack of sleep, or anything else going through our minds, my yellow team was in for a weekend full of new and maybe even scary experiences. We didn't know what to expect. It makes you become so much more aware of your dependence on God! Despite the dark clouds there is that gorgeous chunk of blue sky in the distance. And it was closer than we might have thought because this weekend was a huge blessing. The camp director and staff were so welcoming and thankful and gave us so much to be involved with. There were a couple junior high campers from this summer which was sweet to see them again. And the other camper boys and girls I met were just so much fun to be around! We had a blast worshiping and jumping around, playing octaball, raiding the cabins, playing paintball, doing relay races, and eating great home made camp food!
Praise God for a beautiful first weekend out with my Yellow Team (and Chloe) ;-)

Coram Deo,
