God's Servant - Scioto Hills

I want to be God's servant. My friend, Danae, shared this passage with me today, and it pretty much sums up how I feel about heading into counseling at Scioto Hills camp:

I Peter 5:2 ~Be shepherds of God's flock that is under your care, serving as overseers--not because you must, but because you are willing, as God wants you to be; not greedy for money, but eager to serve...

I am "eager to serve"....Every thing I do is for the glory of God. As I travel to Scioto Hills, my excitement is hard to contain, and my humility and thankfulness continues to overflow. My desire is to be used by God in whatever way He would use me this summer. I have a couple things that I would feel blessed to be prayed for...
#1. Myself: that I would be opening to God's calling and my heart would be ready and willing to go beyond my comfort zone. Pray for strength and courage to continue on throughout training week. It's going to be stenuous and tiring. Please pray that I will "Rejoice in the Lord always" - Phillippians 4 ... I'm very nervous to be in a leadership position, but excited to see how God uses this new experience to stretch me and help me rely on Him.
#2. Campers: as I go through 2 weeks of training, there will be no campers to work with, but please pray that God will be preparing the hearts of each camper who will come to Scioto Hills. God can do things beyond anything we could comprehend! Don't limit God's power..Pray that there will be many decisions for salvation and for contual growth in Christ.
#3. All the staff: I'm def not the only person working at Scioto Hills. Every staff member puts a certain amount of time into the camp experience and lives and hearts of each camper & staff memeber. Keep in your prayers that each staff member will go above and beyond their potential in an effort to serve God and others out of LOVE! Pray for strength and sleep and open hearts and loving spirit filled individuals. We all want to grow in our relationship with the Lord as much as the campers themselves.

Pray in that we would live out this verse:
~And then take on an entirely new way of life - a God-fashioned life, a life renewed from the inside and working itselfr into your conduct as God accurately reproduces his character in you.~
Ephesians 4: 23-24(approx.)

with LOVE and thankfulness to everyone, (your prayer is a blessing!)
In CHRIST,
Katie Sue
